Thanksgiving Cosmo
I love partnering with Smirnoff because they always have so many flavors to play around with and with Thanksgiving and Christmas ahead I’m loving their Smirnoff Green Apple vodka infused with natural flavors. The natural flavors really carry over into the vodka infusion with a fresh crisp sweet taste that finished off with a little sour hint.
For the Thanksgiving Cosmo, I really wanted to stay true to the classic Cosmopolitan recipe, but then I couldn’t help myself when I was experimenting and ended up making something with a bit more of a punch. Using the Smirnoff Green Apple as a base was delicious, however, with all things Thanksgiving I wanted to go over the top, so instead of lime juice, I used lemon juice to accentuate the tart flavors in the vodka. It worked great but now the cocktail was a little too tart and I wanted to bring it back, so I ditched the Cointreau and subbed in a spiced orange simple syrup I used in a previous cocktail and it paired perfectly with this drink as well as the theme.
