Spicy Berry Margarita
Who doesn’t love a Margarita; no-one. Why do you think there’s a National Margarita Day this Thursday? The classic Margarita is one of the world’s most recognizable cocktails and has an unlimited amount of variations, of which I have taken much pleasure in attempting as many as possible since beginning Beautiful Booze.
This Spicy Berry Margarita is just one of many but it is so delicious and the perfect way to wish the grey days away. I used the Jose Cuervo Especial Silver because of its light fresh flavors that carry through the rest of the ingredients keeping the fresh fruit and citrus in check but also working incredibly well with the light spice of the Serrano pepper.
Recipe:
- 1.5 ounces Jose Cuervo Especial Silver
- ½ ounce lime juice
- ½ ounce lemon juice
- ¾ ounce agave syrup
- 3 blackberries
- 3 raspberries
- ¼ Serrano pepper (chopped)
- Salt (for rim)
Method:
- Rim your glass with salt
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
- Shake hard to chill and combine ingredients
- Strain over fresh ice
- Garnish and Enjoy!
