Pear and Honey Margarita

So, are you ready for a margarita on this crazy Monday? Boy, I have had a crazy day and I am not sure who to blame the super moon or my nonstop traveling lifestyle. I have officially been on the road for over a year and this suitcase just seems to get smaller and smaller. If you are like me you may gravitate to classic cocktails at home. You can usually find me mixing and twisting a classic cocktail with seasonal flavors like this Margarita.

Today I am sharing a boozy fall version of one of my favorite cocktails the Margarita! I have added pear and honey to this cocktail instead of the agave syrup that I usually use to balance the flavor profile of my favorite Margarita recipe. I usually make a Margarita with fresh lime juice, tequila, and agave syrup. I was making several bourbon drinks with pear juice and had some leftovers so I decided to add a bit of flavor to my Margarita recipe. I have also been obsessed with honey in my cocktails so I have added that instead of the agave syrup. The delicate flavor of the pear mixed with the honey and lime is fall perfection in your glass.

Recipe:

  • 2 ounces of tequila
  • 1 ounce of lime juice
  • 1 ounce pear juice
  • 1/2 ounce of honey syrup

Method:

  1. Fill the shaker with tequila, pear juice, lime juice, and honey syrup
  2. Rim serving glass with salt
  3. Shake mixture then strain over fresh ice
