Earl Grey 75
Today I am sharing a twist on the classic French 75 with Plymouth Gin! Recently, I have been obsessed with Earl Grey Tea and wanted to add it to one of my cocktails. The French 75 was the perfect candidate for the addition of Earl Grey simple syrup. The perfumed Earl Grey essence adds a delicate flavor while enhancing the taste of the already wonderful French 75 cocktail. Get ready for your taste buds to explode!
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce of Plymouth Gin
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce Earl Grey syrup (*recipe below)
- 3-4 ounces of champagne
Instructions:
- Add Plymouth Gin, lemon juice, Earl Grey simple syrup, and ice to a cocktail shaker
- Shake the mixture then strain it into a champagne flute
- Top with champagne
*Recipe: Earl Grey Simple Syrup
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of strong-brewed Earl Grey tea
- 1 cup of sugar
Instructions:
- In a saucepan combine sugar and tea
- Let it boil until the sugar dissolves Strain the mixture and let it cool
- Extra syrup may be stored in a glass container for up to a week
