Cocktails with Caposaldo
I love most things Italian, and of course, a great bottle of Prosecco is one of my favorite Italian products; one of many that is. Caposaldo translates to a few different words, and can mean both “benchmark” and “strength”, and based on that alone, I just had to taste the product. It turns out, they make a wonderful product, that’s bright and effervescent. Before I even had a chance to taste the Caposaldo Prosecco, the aroma of green apples and fresh citrus told me I was in for a treat, and then the delicate acidity washed over my palate and I was inspired to mix the following drinks with it.
Caposaldo Spritz
Recipe:
- 1 ounce dry vermouth
- ½ ounce Aperol
- 4 ounces Caposaldo Prosecco
Method:
- Combine all ingredients in your cocktail glass
- Stir slightly to combine ingredients
- Garnish & Enjoy!
Bubbly Bee’s Knees
Recipe:
- 1 ounce dry gin
- ¾ ounce lemon juice
- ½ ounce honey syrup
- Caposaldo Prosecco to top
Method:
- Combine gin, lemon juice and honey syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice
- Shake to chill and combine ingredients
- Double strain into a Nick & Nora glass
- Top with Caposaldo Prosecco
- Garnish & Enjoy!
