Thanks for the Bramble
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we have created this recipe to give thanks for one of our favorite classic cocktails, the Bramble. Traditionally served in a rocks glass we decided to elevate this cocktail and give it a little more elegance by putting it in these beautiful hand-crafted champagne flutes from Maison Numen.
With the traditional thanksgiving being a decadent feast with savory and spicy flavors all around we decided to replicate these things into the Bramble by first making a spiced cranberry simple syrup to tantalize your senses with wonderful notes very reminiscent of Thanksgiving dinner with the family. In the cocktail alongside the syrup we also balanced it with a touch of lemon juice and because I used to love watching my mom baste the turkey with orange juice to make the skin extra crispy and of course tasty, I added in some triple sec to finish it off.
Recipe:
- 1.5 ounces gin
- ½ ounce triple sec
- ¾ ounce lemon juice
- ½ ounce cranberry syrup
Method:
- Make spiced cranberry simple syrup ahead of time and allow it to cool
- Combine gin, lemon juice, and orange liqueur in a shaker with ice
- Shake to chill and combine ingredients
- Strain into a cocktail glass over crushed ice
- Top with spiced cranberry simple syrup
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick and rosemary
- Enjoy!
