Today I am sharing a fun and easy way to celebrate spring! Let’s talk about the Salty Dog cocktail. I somehow always forget about this fun and easy cocktail. I am obsessed with the salt rim and the grapefruit juice. I have upgraded this cocktail by adding some cucumber for flavor. I love this combo because cucumbers are a good complement to the salt rim. In the south we spend summers just eating cucumbers with salt. So this is ultimately my inspiration for this cocktail. Let’s spend the day together drinking these lovely Salty Dogs.
Ingredients:
- 1 ounces of SKYY Vodka
- 5 slice of cucumber, muddled
- 4-6 ounces of grapefruit juice
- 1/2 to 1 cup ice
Garnish: Salted Rim and Cucumber Slices
Instructions:
- In a mixing glass add vodka, grapefruit juice, and muddled cucumber
- Add ice to serving glass
- Stir mixture then strain into serving glass
