Sparkling Summer Lemonade

I love using seltzer water in cocktails because it brings a fresh and light flavor to the drink. It is especially tasty to use a seltzer in cocktails on those hot days. Today I am sharing a cocktail with White Claw Hard Seltzer, which is a sparkling seltzer water that has 5% alcohol and fresh fruit.

Not only is this seltzer water spiked it is also low-carb and gluten-free. I love this seltzer water because you can make a cocktail with it or just serve it chilled for a light beverage. This is a great option for people looking to imbibe on the healthier side this summer. It’s a great healthy alternative to a vodka soda or white wine especially when there are three natural flavors to choose from including Natural Lime, Black Cherry, and White Claw Ruby Grapefruit. In saying this I am including White Claw Hard Seltzer in a lot of my summer drinking because as someone who does a lot of summer entertaining I have to have a balance. I love rotating between my favorite bourbon cocktails and White Claw so that I feel equalized not only in alcohol content but also in calories. It’s also a good option to have on hand for outdoor events, as it is a pre-mixed drink in a convenient 12-ounce can.

I recently had a backyard party and decided to substitute my regular seltzer with White Claw in my cocktail. I love topping off my cocktails with seltzer water and this one adds an additional flavor pop. Anyway back to my story, I decided to create a summer lemonade with blackberries and black cherry White Claw; let me tell you that this cocktail was a hit. The blackberries were muddled with fresh lemon juice and honey, which was the base of this cocktail, then it was topped off with White Claw Black Cherry seltzer. I made so many of these that my friends have now all gone home with the complete recipe. All the components made this a well-rounded fun summer cocktail, especially for entertaining.
