Margarita Spritz

We’re planning for fall, but it’s still hot out there so we are enjoying this Mexican-inspired Spritz, to make the best of it. Walking around the markets throughout Mexico, we love seeing all of the unique produce that’s available. We haven’t been adventurous enough to pick up some prickly pears and use them in cocktails, but luckily with the you don’t have to, the flavor is already delicious and easily mixed into cocktails. Prickly pears aren’t always in season though, so using this syrup is great, allowing us to enjoy them all year round. The earthiness of the desert pear combines seamlessly with the raw, earthiness of the blanco tequila.

Recipe:

  • 1.5 ounces blanco tequila
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • ¾ ounce
  • 3 ounces soda

Method:

  1. Combine tequila, lime juice, and Monin Desert Pear in a brandy balloon with ice
  2. Stir to chill and combine ingredients
  3. Top with soda
  4. Garnish & Enjoy!
