Matcha Tea Gin Sour
Today I sharing a tea-inspired gin cocktail that is perfect for spring. First off I have been obsessed with matcha tea lately. The color and the flavor are so good I thought it would be the perfect component for a spring-inspired cocktail. Matcha tea is a fine powdered green tea.
Its historic roots stem from Japanese tea ceremonies that center on the preparation, serving, and drinking of matcha. I used a matcha tea latte mix from trader joes because at the moment I do not have a matcha tea kit. I thought this would be a perfect approach to tasting matcha tea and getting a flavor for it. The mix is easy to use and perfect balance for the gin. Let’s try something new together!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 ounces gin
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 2 ounces of matcha tea latte (prepared as directed then cooled)

- Shake to chill and combine the ingredients
- Strain out the ice
- Shake again to further emulsify the ingredients
