Lavender Gin Fizz

After being on a tequila high yesterday I decided to share a gin drink. I have wanted to make a Gin Fizz for a while but have been intimated by making drinks with egg whites at home. First, raw eggs in cocktails freak me out but they are so freaking good and I couldn’t help myself. So I decided to concoct a riff on the classic Gin Fizz cocktail and add lavender to the mix. I was surprised by how easy it was to make and the egg white was not as sketchy as I thought it might be.

This is the type of cocktail to make for two people because it would be hard to make these for a party. Believe me, you would hate life and the party if you signed up to make these. Say goodbye to the party, the social hour, and the happy hour because you will be standing at the bar shaking and drinking by yourself. If that doesn’t scare you off this is the perfect cocktail for a date night or special occasion. I believe that this drink competes with some ten-dollar cocktails out at bars but you can make it at home for so much cheaper. Plus if you have anger or frustration building from the week you can shake the hell out of this drink to relieve some pent-up anger. It’s a win-win situation for everyone so you better hurry up and make this cocktail!
