Using different accentuating flavors and experimenting with plenty of whiskies, bourbon such as Jim Beam Black, which is extra-aged and bottled at 86-proof, is ideal for a cocktail like the Whiskey Sour.
Recipe for the Jim Beam Black Sour:
- 1 part Jim Beam Black® Bourbon
- 1 part fresh lemon juice
- ½ part simple syrup
- ½ part egg whites
Method:
- Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
- Shake hard to chill and combine ingredients
- Strain out ice from the shaker
- Shake hard again to further emulsify the ingredients
- Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass
- Garnish & enjoy!
