Holiday Fig Drop
Figs are all the rage this holiday season so I partnered up with Figenza Vodka to create this delicious variation on a classic Lemon Drop cocktail. When I was looking into recipes I isolated popular vodka cocktails that have been around for a long time and then decided that the fresh fig flavor would be best in something with a little sour flavor. There seem to be a lot of cocktails that fit into this sour vodka category but one that stood out amongst the rest; the Lemon Drop. It isn’t a Beautiful Booze cocktail without a few tweaks, so although substituting the standard vodka for Figenza tasted great it still needed something a little more festive.
We were at the store buying ingredients for our roast turkey and I thought there was one flavor that keeps popping up whenever you think of a holiday feast. I considered using a cranberry sauce in the cocktail but to keep it a little more simple I opted to stay traditional and use cranberry juice instead. The cocktail turned out even better than it had before, now we had a twist on a classic cocktail with a really festive flair and flavors that will match any holiday feast. Whether you are entertaining friends or family over the next few weeks this Holiday Fig Drop will certainly be a big hit with the crowd.
