Cranberry Maple Sour

The first company that I partnered with when I started Beautiful Booze was Total Wine & More so they really hold a special place for me. Beyond that, it is one of my all-time favorite places to shop for spirits and wine. The selection is insane, I have never walked out empty-handed, and the price is right!

So, I am super thankful to partner with them again this year to showcase this festive Cranberry Maple Sour featuring Ensign Red Black Canadian Whisky. For a while, I have wanted to try making cocktails with Canadian Whisky at home as I haven’t ever had a bottle in my bar ever! Can you believe that? Since I am making more cocktails at home, I have wanted to try new things as well as go out of my comfort zone.

I decided to go explore Total Wine Seattle, which is very impressive with its selection as well as staff. Every time I walk into a Total Wine & More, I feel like I am in booze heaven and quite frankly have to force myself to not buy everything in the store lol.

One thing I really love about Total Wine & More is the staff- everyone is so helpful and they always have such great recommendations as well as knowledge. I was helped by a former bartender which was super helpful as he was able to recommend this whisky for cocktails AND it did not disappoint. This particular whisky is sold exclusively at Total Wine & More and is at a great price point.  I also love the versatility of this product as it’s great for sipping as well as cocktails especially this cocktail because it has tasting notes of dried fruit, oak, and maple.

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker
  2. Shake with ice and then strain
  3. Shake without ice then strain into a coupe glass
  4. Garnish with fresh cranberries and grated cinnamon

(*I made the foam extra by also mixing the cocktail with a hand milk frother)
