Carrot and Orange Blossom Cooler
I wanted to make a gin cocktail for today’s recipe and something that was very spring inspired. This cocktail is Easter in your mouth! It has carrot/orange juice and gin which have definite elements of spring and Easter. This boozy drink also makes me think of the Easter bunny given the color and the carrot juice. I will admit that a cocktail with carrot juice looks and seems pretty sketchy but I have to say that the gin mixes so well with the carrot flavor.
The botanicals in the gin and the orange blossom water scream spring and elevate this cocktail to the next level. This could also easily be made into a punch to serve a crowd for Easter brunch or a spring cocktail party. Not only does it feel healthy to drink carrot juice the gin will have you coming back for more!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 ounces gin
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- ¾ cup of carrot orange juice
- ¼ ounce of orange blossom water
Method:
- In a large glass combine gin, carrot/orange juice, lemon juice, and orange blossom water
- Stir the mixture until combined
- Crush ice and put into serving glass
- Pour the gin mixture into the serving glass
- Garnish with flowers and serve
