Autumn Whisky Zing
Since it’s October and we are transitioning into heartier flavors I decided to use a few in a cocktail creation today. makes a delicious spiced brown sugar syrup that adds a kick that compliments the rest of the flavors in this drink. Items like cinnamon, chocolate bitters, vanilla bean yogurt, and a smoky whisky may not usually be combined but somehow they come together so deliciously. The weird ingredient in this cocktail is vanilla bean yogurt, which balances out the spiciness and smokiness of the drink and adds a bit of tanginess and creaminess.
Recipe:
- 2.5 ounces whisky
- 1 ounce Monin spiced brown sugar syrup
- 1 tbsp vanilla bean yogurt
- 5 drops of chocolate bitters
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
- 1 mint sprig
Method:
- Crush ice
- Combine whisky, Monin spiced brown sugar syrup and vanilla bean yogurt in a shaker with ice cubes
- Strain into a rocks glass over crushed ice
- Drop the bitters over the top
- Sprinkle with cinnamon
- Garnish with mint sprig
- Enjoy!
