Thyme and Kiwi Salty Dog

Grapefruit juice is always my answer in hot weather because it’s refreshing without being too sweet. A while back at happy hour I ordered a couple of traditional Salty Dogs and they were so good. I actually forgot about this cocktail because I usually order some craft cocktails and not classic ones.

I wanted to do some type of twist on this classic so I added kiwi and thyme. The thyme gives the drink an earthy flavor while the kiwi adds a hint of sweetness. This drink is so good and so refreshing that I think I am going to make it into a punch this weekend. If you are looking for an easy and beautiful cocktail for your weekend make this Salty Dog variation. Bittersweet is calling your name.
