Self-Service Gin and Tonic Bar with Baked Brie
Today is day four of the fantastic food and drink preparation for the Super Bowl. Today we are focusing on gin and tonic and self-serve drinks/snacks. In the last year, I have noticed some really awesome tonic waters coming out. I have also noticed several bars in Vancouver having a gin and tonic menu where you pick your gin and then a specific tonic to customize your drink.
The other thing I like about these “gourmet” tonics is that they offer flavor without adding additional sugar or mixers, which is fabulous. Recently, received a package of AMAZING tonic waters from Peter Spanton. These tonics come in unique flavors, which can really enhance your regular gin and tonic with absolutely no effort. Some of these flavors include lemongrass, cardamom, and chocolate! Can you believe that? A chocolate tonic! Today, I am setting up a self-service gin and tonic bar.
This is super easy for a party because everyone can pick out a fun tonic and pair it with gin. Mix your own and add some fun garnishes. I am using grapes as ice cubes and a traditional garnish of lime. I am pairing this party bar with a cheese course of baked brie. I love serving cheese at parties because it is so easy to prepare and leave for guests to serve themselves. Have fun and party hard with this fun self-service gin and tonic bar with a side of cheese!
