Spiced Berentzen Float

Right in time for the weekend I have created this wonderful boozy float. I love making boozy desserts and love that this one is influenced by some candies I had last week. I used a spirit called Bushel and Barrel which is made by the company Berentzen. It has a bourbon and apple flavor which is the definition of fall but can be enjoyed all year.

The spicy flavors from the bourbon and the sweet flavors from the apples marry to make this a very tasty spirit. To top off this lovely fling I added an apple-dried fruit crisp from the Seattle Company Simple and Crisp (now closed). They make lovely dried fruit crisp with oranges, pears, and apples. I also used the orange crisp in this Mandarin Mint Julep.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces of Berentzen Bushel and Barrel
  • 3-4 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream (depending on the serving glass)
  • ½ bottle of cream soda

Method:

  1. Put 3-4 scoops of ice cream into a tall glass
  2. Pour 2 ounces of bushel and barrel into the glass and top with cream soda
  3. Garnish with a dried apple fruit crisp
